So, the big night is finally here. You have your first date with that great guy, you’ve just met and you’re trying to make sure everything is right to absolutely blow him away. Maybe you met him at the gym, or through a friend, maybe it’s the new guy at work (although we really don’t recommend that one). Whatever is about to happen, first dates are all about making a knockout first impression, with your personality, looks and presence. But as soon as the guy sees you, politely shakes your hand or maybe pops a kiss on your cheek, he’s going to get a whiff of your perfume; and that could be the difference between dating success and failure. That’s why part of your prep is finding the right fragrance. Here are a couple of tips to make sure you win his nose as well as his heart.
First of all, go with something light and alluring. It’s a first date, so you don’t want to slap your potential new man with a blistering perfume, so strong that he can’t even taste his dinner. Find a fragrance for women which is understated and demure; just enough allure to pique his interest and keep him hooked. You’ll want a scent that’s flirty and engaging, something that will stick in his mind long after the date is over. One scent that could really do the trick is Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana. With its delicate mere hints of floral and fruity aromas, it’s clean enough that your beau won’t cough his lungs up when he meets you.
Secondly, apply the perfume in all the right places. Getting the right scent to reel him in is one thing, applying the right scent in the right way is another thing altogether. Don’t drown yourself in the stuff, you want to smell like it not live in it. Simply spritz yourself in a few key locations; which include the back of your neck and behind your ears. That way, when he’s leaning in for that peck on the cheek, or a hug or maybe even a dance, he’ll get a hit of your tasteful and alluring perfume; and he’s guaranteed to want to come back for more.
